Susan V. Booth joined the Alliance Theatre in July of 2001 and was previously Director of New Play Development at Chicago’s Goodman Theatre, Co-Artistic Director for the City of Chicago’s professional summer theatre and Associate Artistic Director of Northlight Theatre.

REGIONAL DIRECTING CREDITS: Alliance, Goodman, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Northlight, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Connecticut Repertory, City Theatre of Pittsburgh, New York Stage and Film, Victory Gardens, Touchstone Theatre, Organic Theatre, RAPP Arts, La Jolla Playhouse, Ojai Playwrights Festival, the National Playwrights Conference and L.A. Theatreworks’ Theatre On the Air.

She has held teaching positions at Northwestern and DePaul Universities, and the School of the Art Institute in Chicago. Susan holds degrees from Northwestern and Denison Universities. She is a member of Leadership Atlanta’s Class of 2003 and the National Theatre Conference. Ms. Booth also serves on the boards of the Atlanta Regional Arts and Culture Leadership Alliance and the Theatre Communications Group.
