Woodruff Arts Center Education
The Woodruff Arts Center is the largest arts educator in the state of Georgia, with a network of programs that reaches more than 200,000 students.
Together,The Woodruff Arts Center partners - Alliance Theatre, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and High Museum of Art – create arts-infused educational experiences for students from 18 months old all the way to adult, both in schools and on The Woodruff Arts Center campus.
"Beyond our mission of creating great art, we’re also committed to creating great communities. Arts education is essential to doing that." - Virginia Hepner, Woodruff Arts Center, President and CEO
The Wells Fargo ArtsVibe Teen Program is an initiative at The Woodruff Arts Center to engage metropolitan Atlanta teenagers as active participants in the arts, made possible through a $2 million donation to the Woodruff Arts Center from Wells Fargo. The ArtsVibe program is a collaborative effort between all of the divisions of The Woodruff Arts Center: the Alliance Theatre, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and High Museum of Art.
The program, which is designed to meet the needs of arts-oriented teens as well as those who are less familiar with the arts, offers a combination of free and paid events for students ages 13-18. Programs and events offer focused and multidimensional exploration of the arts for teens, and include designated “Teen Nights” on campus, music lessons, poetry slams, acting classes, behind-the-scenes access to rehearsals and productions, and performances by teens for teens among other activities and events.
