Dali: The Filmmaker: A talk and screening with guest curator Elliott King
August 21, 8-10 pm -
Elliott King, the guest curator of "Dali: The Late Work" and author of Dali, Surrealism And Cinema, will explore Dali's interest in the movies and his collaborations with Walt Disney and Alfred Hitchcock. Films to be screened include "An Andalusian Dog," "Destino," and the dream sequence from "Spellbound."

Dali's American Friends: Skeleton Dance and Duck Soup
August 28, 8-10 pm -
Dali admired both Walt Disney and Harpo Marx as American surrealists. This program includes an early Disney animated short, "Skeleton Dance," and the Marx Brothers' chaotic, satiric, and hilarious masterpiece "Duck Soup."

Evening for Educators

Teachers, school administrators, and community educators are invited to view "Dali: The Late Work" for free! On this special evening you can explore the Museum, plan tours for your students, receive special give-aways, learn about PLU opportunities, purchase educational resources, and network with colleagues. This event is free for educators with advance reservations. Educators must bring school I.D., proof of educator status, or homeschool/non-traditional verification.  Free for educators; please limit to 2 tickets per educator. Additional tickets may be purchased the night of the event for half-price. Walk-ups only.
