Supporting our program initiatives:

Marketing Associate: assists in the day to day operations of our Strategic Initiatives department through the development of marketing tools to support key initiatives.

Development Associate: assists in the day to day operations of our Strategic Initiatives department through research and writing of grants to support and fund initiatives.

Communications/ Special Events Associate: assists in the day to day operations of our Strategic Initiatives department through development of communication collateral pieces and organization of special events in support of our programs. Volunteers may also serve as hosts and ushers during evening receptions, festivals, film reviews and various programs.

Supporting our entertaining and educational programming:

Universal Volunteers- The Universal Volunteers are a diverse group of task-oriented, hands-on volunteers, ranging from students to retirees. These volunteers serve as an important component of our volunteer effort.

Universal Volunteers are advised by e-mail, telephone or mail about upcoming volunteer opportunities (special events & programs, receptionist duties, etc.) and the contact for participation, thus having the option of choosing when and what to work on.

Volunteer Ushers:
The 14th Street Playhouse is proud of its dedicated and invaluable team of Volunteer Ushers, who help to create a welcoming environment for out patrons. Playhouse volunteers work in a variety of positions: greeting patrons, taking tickets, directing audience members to their seats, distributing programs, tour bus greeters and handicapped assistance.
