Description

Under the direction of the Intern Supervisor, the intern will gain experience by participating in various projects.

Interns will gain experience unique to the department of their assignment. Therefore, specific projects and assignments will be provided by the staff intern liaison of the sponsoring department.

*Please note that although applications will be accepted for all internships listed, positions may not be offered in all areas every term.

Compensation

Internship is unpaid, but offers a great deal of hands on experience. College credit is available upon request and school approval.

Time

The duration of the internship is dependent upon the sponsoring department and project; the hours and time commitment are flexible.

Selected interns must be able to pass a basic background check verifying name, education, social security number, and criminal record.

Education Intern

Intern will gain experience in

  • Project management
  • Database coordination
  • Special projects

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university program
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Completed coursework in education, fine arts, research
  • Basic computer processing skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in internet research
  • Interest in the Arts and Non Profit Sector


Marketing Intern

Intern will gain experience in

  • Creation and execution of marketing plans
  • Creation and execution of communications plans
  • Project management
  • Market data research
  • Special projects

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university program
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Completed coursework or interest in marketing
  • Basic computer processing skills including Microsoft Office and internet
  • Interest in the Arts and Non Profit Sector


Strategic Initiatives Intern

Intern will gain experience in

  • Strategic planning
  • Project development and management
  • Development of communication products
  • Event planning
  • Presentation preparation
  • Special projects

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university program
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Completed coursework or an interest in communications, marketing
  • Computer processing skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in internet research
  • knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Interest in the Arts and Non Profit Sector


Web Development Intern

Intern will gain experience in

  • User interface design
  • HTML, .NET , CSS, and Scripting in web applications
  • Web Application development and support
  • Mobile, Social, and other emerging technologies
  • Research
  • Special projects

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university program
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Completed coursework in education, fine arts, research
