The Woodruff Arts Center is making great strides in our Green Roof initiative. We now have an actively growing GreenGrid roof systems on top of the High Museum of Art's Bunzl Center and the SCAD dormitories on the WAC campus. This groundbreaking program is serving as an inspiration to our Midtown neighbors, our patrons, and other arts organizations

Over the course of the next two years, the plants in our green roof will fully mature. Dramatic color patterns will develop as the plants grow in size. In addition to improving the aesthetics of our campus from the sky (and in satellite imagery), the green roof will reduce energy consumption, help us neutralize our carbon output, and provide a platform for improved rainwater management and recycling.
