Current Road Closures:
14th Street Bridge is closed to traffic and will reopen in winter 2009.
Techwood Drive is closed between 16th and 10th Streets and will reopen in September 2009.
Williams Street between 10th and 16th Streets is reduced to one lane of traffic
and will fully re-open in June 2009.
Williams Street will remain open during the course of the construction project.
14th Street Bridge Closes May 27
More traffic congestion expected, so plan your commute now. The final construction
milestone in the 14th Street Bridge Improvement Project is around the corner. On
May 27, 2008 at 12:01am, the 14th Street Bridge will close to vehicles and pedestrians.
According to the current schedule, the bridge will not reopen until summer 2010.
Motorists will be detoured to the 17th Street Bridge during this time.
