There are many options for dining at Woodruff Arts Center, especially for school groups arriving for a tour or performance that borders lunchtime. Visitors may bring bag lunches, order from the Center’s catering service, or eat at one of several restaurants nearby in midtown Atlanta. For picnics, there is space available indoors, on the grounds of the Center, and at Piedmont Park, which is conveniently located around the corner.

Brown Bag Lunch: Limited lunch space is available indoors and outside at the Center on a first-come, first-served basis for school groups. Advance reservations are necessary and should be made at the time of registration. To reserve space:
• Alliance Theatre: call (404) 733 4660
• High Museum of Art: call (404) 733 4468
• Atlanta Symphony Orchestra: complete appropriate section of the concert order form available online.

Bring Your Own Lunch: School groups may bring their own lunches, but bear in mind that refrigeration and trash receptacles are not provided. However, coolers and other food items may be stored in areas designated by staff on duty. Be prepared to supply trash bags to assist with removing alllunch debris. Food and beverages may not be taken into the theatres, concert hall or museum galleries.

Catering: For groups of eight or more, lunch may be purchased from Woodruff Arts Center. Orders must be placed at least three days in advance of your visit. Box lunches are $5.25 per person and include a sandwich (peanut butter and jelly OR turkey, lettuce and tomato), chips, whole fruit and water or milk.* To place an order, call (404) 733 5361.

Piedmont Park: Piedmont Park offers plenty of space for school groups to picnic. To enjoy lunch at the park, enter at Piedmont Avenue and 14th Street, which is around the corner from Woodruff Arts Center. Large groups may want to rent a covered picnic pavilion from the City of Atlanta. Contact the Bureau of Parks for more information at (404) 817 6757 or download a rental application.
