See Literacy
The I See Literacy tour offers fourth grade educators and students an
innovative, cross-disciplinary approach to mastering literacy skills using
works of art. The tour reinforces skills in constructing meaning through
literacy—reading, writing, listening, speaking and viewing. Curriculum-based
classroom materials prepare students for their museum visit with language
arts lessons and hands-on visual art activities. They also include post-tour
lessons that allow the field trip to serve as a springboard for stories,
bookmaking and much more. Visit www.High.org/Literacy for images, pre-tour
