Need to know where to start? Before scheduling a program at your school or on the campus of Woodruff Arts Center, you may wish to consider a few things in advance:

1. Plan for your desired learning outcomes.
Consider your goals—exposure to the arts, integrating the arts with the curriculum, celebrating important events, creating a legacy project—and involve key players (i.e., teachers, specialists, administrators and parents) in the planning process. Think about experiences you want your students to have: exposure to new art forms, hands-on experiences creating arts and/or connecting arts to specific topics of study.

2. Review this site and search for programs based on your specific criteria.
Woodruff Arts Center offers something for everyone, reaching every grade level and supporting all academic disciplines. Many of these programs work well for special events such as PTA and schoolwide events or multicultural celebrations. Search for Programs here.

3. Choose programs that support your learning goals and students’ multiple learning styles.
Visual, verbal, aural, physical and analytical—all are just some of the different ways children take in and process information. By choosing a variety of arts disciplines and program formats, you give every child a chance to succeed.

4. Contact individual Education Staff members for assistance.
Many of Woodruff Arts Center’s divisions will help you find a program to support your individual classroom needs. Please call them for guidance and assistance. Their contact information may be found here.
