Ruth
Mitchell Dance Theatre
The first dance company to join the Young Audiences
roster, the Ruth Mitchell Dance Theatre has been one of Atlanta’s
favorite dance companies for over 40 years. All of this popular dance
company’s programs blend jazz, classical ballet, contemporary movement
and artistic athletics.
Dance Around the World
This program presents lively and colorful international dances from Spain,
Russia, Ghana and the Philippines. Interactive and
engaging, students are brought on stage to experience the physical and
mental skills dancers use when learning a dance.
Jazzin’
Jazzin’ takes a fast-paced trip through the various styles of jazz
dance, following its development from early African tribal
roots to its present form as hip-hop and techno.
Grades: K–5, 6–8,
9–12 (except Jazzin–for grades 4–8 only)
