The Woodruff Arts Center’s Veterans & Military Night

Friday, May 19, 2017

Join fellow veterans and military families at The Woodruff Arts Center for a pre-Memorial Day “Celebration of Service.” As a veteran or active duty service member, you and up to three immediate family members can receive free tickets to:

  • The Beatles Tribute: Classical Mystery Tour with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, 8PM
  • The High Museum of Art's Friday Night Jazz, part of The Atlanta Jazz Festivals 40 Days of Jazz, featuring Trone Jackson, William Menefield, Alex Gordon and Kebbi Williams & the Wolfpack, 6PM

-     Veterans/military identification required

High Museum tickets available at the Museum ticket desk on Friday, May 19; must present valid veterans/military ID

Atlanta Symphony Orchestra tickets available for purchase in person at The Woodruff Arts Center Box Office any time prior to event; must present valid veterans/military ID. For tickets to The Beatles Tribute, please call ahead for Box Office hours and ticket availability.


*Note that while parking in the Arts Center deck is free for veterans and military families, due to Friday crowds, we encourage the use of ride sharing or MARTA (Arts Center Station) as our deck may reach capacity. 

With generous support from The Home Depot Foundation, the Woodruff Arts Center offers the following benefits to veterans, active duty, and military families:

  • Free tickets to Alliance Theatre and Atlanta Symphony Orchestra performances (excluding ASO Presents shows that are rentals or co-promotions), available at the Arts Center Box Office beginning seven (7) days in advance of the performance, with presentation of valid military/veterans ID. Offer based on availability.
  • PLEASE NOTE: To ensure availability for symphony and theatre performances, patrons should call box office before traveling to pick up tickets (404-733-5000). Offer based on availability; valid military/veterans ID required; limit two (2) free tickets per household.
  • Free admission to the High Museum of Art, available at the Museum ticket desk with presentation of valid military/veterans ID (Museum closed on Mondays; limit two (2) free admissions per household per visit).
  • Free parking with presentation of valid military/veterans ID at cashier in the Arts Center deck.
  • The Alliance Theatre offers scholarships for acting classes and summer camps to veterans and military family members. Click here for more information. Limit one class or camp per person per year.


 
     Free parking

Parking is free for veterans and military families in our parking deck, accessible from Arts Center Way, directly behind the High Museum. Please present a valid veterans or military ID to the cashier.
       
 
     Free High Museum of Art access

The Southeast’s leading art museum opens its doors to veterans with free admission on all public days. Bring your family or yourself to enjoy our permanent collections or our newest special exhibitions. Keep in mind, museum is closed on Mondays.  Visit www.high.org or the museum ticket counter for more information.

       
 
     Free performance tickets

Experience the world-class music of the Grammy-winning Atlanta Symphony Orchestra or the talent of the Tony Award-winning Alliance Theatre, with free tickets for veterans and military families at the box office (1280 Peachtree Street, Atlanta, Georgia, 30309) with presentation of valid military or veterans ID. Click links for more information. Subject to availability, limit 2 tickets per household.
       
 
     Special Shows

The Arts Center arranges special concerts for veterans, like the 2014 Trace Adkins The Christmas Show concert at Symphony Hall. These performances let us recognize our servicemen and women in a particularly special way. 
       
 
    Youth and continuing education scholarships

We understand that military service involves an entire family and children of veterans can receive scholarships for Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Alliance Theatre, and High Museum camps and other special youth experiences. Veterans also receive free admission to adult acting and other classes.


       
 
     Community Performances

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra sends quartets and other ensembles to military bases and Veterans Administration hospitals to bring the inspiration of great music directly to our veterans and service members.
