Development Manager, Operations (Regular/Full-time)

POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to and working in close collaboration with the Vice President of Development and the Individual Giving team, the Development Manager has at least two years of Development and/or office experience. This position will support the Development office in their work to secure key gifts. The Development Manager will execute the Development office’s day to day operations.

WORK SCHEDULE:
• Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. with evenings and weekends as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
• Process the organization’s mail, sort and gather all philanthropic contributions. Fill out GPS forms.
• Manage the ASO Acknowledgments process and the personalization of acknowledgement letters. Print and deliver for signature.
• Assist with campaign solicitations, including data manipulation, mail merging, personalization, printing and stuffing mailings.
• Oversee donor honor roll and symphony wall data requests, updates and approval processes, and donor benefit fulfillment.
• Monitor and track pledge receivables.
• Provide support for the Board campaign and solicitation/visit follow up.
• Assist with all events and Robert Shaw Room management.
• Assist with Gala preparation as needed
• Development expense budget tracking
• Maintain and update the Board of Directors Manual
• Handle day to day donor needs and questions
• Work with development team in providing service to individual and foundation donors
• General Support for VP of Development and Department

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Minimum office experience, at least 2 years of development experience preferred
• Experience working with donors and donations preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Database management experience – Tessitura preferred
• Strong project management skills required
• Donor centered approach and commitment to outstanding customer service
