Gunning brings more than 30 years of financial expertise to the Woodruff Arts Center, joining the organization most recently from Ernst & Young, LLP, where he retired from his role as Southeast Region Leader, Financial Accounting Advisory Services, in June 2020. Previously he served as Assurance Division Leader for Arthur Andersen, LLP, where he led a team of 110 professionals. During his career, Gunning has led audit and advisory services for organizations such as Georgia-Pacific Corporation, Oxford Industries, Emory University, Morehouse School of Medicine, and CARE. His leadership includes a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.
A native Atlantan, Gunning has a long history of participation at the Woodruff Arts Center. He has served on the Alliance Theatre’s Board of Directors since 2006, including a term serving as chair of the finance and annual fund committee. He served on the Woodruff Arts Center’s Board of Trustees as a member of the finance committee from 2011 to 2013.
